Nantwich Farmers' Market
I've just realised it's over 6 years since I wrote about Nantwich Farmers' Market in this blog, and have decided I ought to do an update!
It's no wonder our Town Crier is getting excited - I suspect he's discovered Kempen Food's Cherry Peach and Amaretto Jam:

They're hoping to enter it in the Great Taste Awards - we think it will do rather well.
Nantwich Farmers' Market is a great place for fresh vegetables:
Today there was some of the new season's rhubarb for sale;
Meat eaters are well catered for, with stands like Northwest Game
and Wych Bacon & Pork from Malpas:
I always try and buy something from Chase View Farm, this Dexter shoulder tasted wonderful:
If you go to their web site, you can see why I like this small farm so much.
You can also buy buffalo meat from North Wales Buffalo:
and goat meat from Chestnut Meats:
If you're not a meat eater, R S Ireland even do a vegetarian black pudding:
and f you think vegan and vegetarian food is boring, visit Nourish Cuisine:
If you fancy something different, try Curry Box UK:
with their Gujarati Style Home made curries.
also cater for special diets (gluten free bread) and treats for dogs!
Also suitable for gluten free diets are these delicious hand made pâtés:
which are made with free-range chicken livers, and no additives.
Some of my favouite stalls are here, like Tiresford Guernsey Gold:
with their delicious yoghurt made with their Guernsey milk, and John Bourne:
with his hand-made Cheshire cheese.
Fresh organic eggs are available from Abbey Leys Farm:
who also host their own Farmers' Market (highly recommended) on the first Sunday of every month.
This lady makes wonderful tarts:
with flavours like Cheshire Pheasant, Roast Beetroot or Cranberry, Port and Stilton.
If you've got a sweet tooth there's Cheshire Cheesecakes:
and there's also local honey:
which is made from some of the finest cacao beans in the world.
I've deliberately not mentioned all the stalls - as I think you should go there yourself!
